Dr. Robert B Shaw Jr.
Dr. Bob Shaw is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS) in North Carolina and a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPCS) in Virginia. Dr. Shaw is also an ordained minister who served as a youth pastor, Christian education director, adult education director, musician, and executive pastor in churches in New Jersey, Colorado, Maryland, and North Carolina, for over twenty-five years. Dr. Shaw has a diverse background from many years of counseling in church settings, private and community agencies, and counseling military personnel and their families near Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. He is currently a Military One Source (MOS) provider. While Dr. Shaw addresses many issues with clients, he usually specializes in trauma-related cases; addictions; and victims of abuse, depression, anxiety disorders, relationship issues, life adjustment issues, loss and grief, counseling church leaders and pastors, adolescents, and adults.
Dr. Shaw has been an adjunct professor for undergraduate psychology students and clinical instructor for master’s degree counseling and pastoral counseling students at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, since 2012.
Dr. Shaw is a conference speaker and author, having published several books identifying and dealing with human core longings and desires from a biblical, mental health, and clinical perspective, called the “Created for” series.
